BRAND CONCEPT 

​

Not Applicable is a homegrown sustainable fashion brand created for this project with a motive of embracing every woman’s natural beauty. Inspired by the quote “ Women know deep down that it is what is on the outside that the whole world judges”, Not Applicable hopes to bring a social change in the fashion industry by building the self-confidence of every woman conscious of her body and skin. Understanding a woman’s insecurities and the societal pressure she faces due to the high beauty standards set by the fashion and beauty industry. The brand connects itself to the functions of indigo medicine of healing skin allergies and detoxifying skin promising a positive attitude healing every woman and helping her embrace her natural self.

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

In this project I was the marketing director, art director and the group leader. I was responsible for researching and coming up with a brand concept while coordinating ideas and inspirations with the fashion designers in my group. I was also responsible for social media, marketing  PR strategies and content writing. I also created our brand book and our campaign visuals.

WHY THE NAME NOT APPLICABLE ?

For a long time, The fashion industry has always promoted an underweight body for women. In the present, it is changing by focusing on plus size women as well, helping them increase their confidence to embrace their own beauty. The women who are in between these 2 sizes are not applicable to any, hence fitting nowhere. However, Not Applicable caters to not only women with plus sizes or anorexic bodies but every woman in between.
